Young local entrepreneur brings ‘function-to-the-junction’ with a fresh take on commercial space

After years of working for others and honing his craft, Armando was ready to venture out and bring his unique skills and talents to Toronto’s west end. Now all he needed was an inspirational space to match and a builder to realize his goals. GH’s approach to the retail environment was to start fresh; the space he selected had good bones but the interior was not suitable for his use. A complete demolition of the prior tenant’s space was undertaken and, in its place, a state-of-the-art hair salon came to be.
The timeliness of completion was paramount, so GH developed a construction schedule that included the flexibility to work off-hours in order to minimize downtime for fixturing. The final design exceeded expectations, and the project finished on time and on budget. A vibrant new business that perfectly complements the personality of the owner and surrounding neighbourhood thrives today.
