Hygge (pronounced hue-guh) is a Danish word that embodies feelings of coziness and wellness. The client’s objective was to embrace this concept in the design and building of their new home; a distinctive residence befitting of the stately Lytton Park community. GH flawlessly executed this task, creating a home that strikes a graceful balance between formality and warmth with curated and bespoke details throughout.
The home design called for extensive custom detailing such as cedar shakes and copper eaves, uniquely crafted mouldings and fretwork, cabinetry, flooring and paint finishes. Exquisite and tailored landscaping with multiple stone terraces, pool, fountains, irrigation, multiple powered awnings, heated driveway and a four-car underground garage completed the building envelope.
The client’s vision for ‘hygge’ was a triumphant success.
